Because we’ve had quite a string of below-zero temperatures, some of the lakes are freezing. We go to Westwood lake to walk and ride bikes. It’s a very busy one usually.
I went out with Mom and Dad to see it last weekend. They were going to walk around it, I was going to take photos. When I can’t ride my bike, I’m far less mobile. There was a lot of photograph though. The ice was frozen pretty smooth and it made a really cool noise when rocks skidded across it.
Check out the video below; if you have the volume up you can hear it. It must be because the layer of ice is thin and the sound echoes through the water.
